Application Process

1. After the development of an OSHMS, the PDCA cycle has been run for once or more time

Since the JISHA Standards require a system audit, OSHMS review, and depending on the results of the audit, a correction of safety and health policy/plan, etc, it is necessary that the PDCA cycle has been run for once or more for an assessment of the applicant workplace.

2. None of the following disqualification items applies to the applicant workplace

1. Two years have not passed of the day when the employer of the applicant workplace sentenced to penalty or greater in violation of national occupational safety and health laws or any regulations under this order (only those related to the applicant workplace), had completed or spared from the enforcement.
2. Two years have not passed of the day when the employer of the applicant organization sentenced to imprisonment or greater in violation of national occupational safety and health laws or any regulations under this order (only those related to the applicant organization), had completed or spared from the enforcement.
3. In the parent organization concerning the applicant workplace, there is a director(s) that falls into the above category 1 or 2.
4. The applicant workplace has had its OHSMS certification revoked in the past, and two years have not passed of the day of the revocation.
